We had several contacts from park to park using Jay’s amateur ham radio, along with other contacts, and it was really great. The best part of the experience was learning from Jay, who shared his knowledge and equipment setup with Matt and me. It was so inspiring to see how it all worked, and it made me feel so proud and happy to be an amateur radio operator. Matt sat with Jeff for awhile in his truck and had a great time, too. He talked about how he’s looking to get his amateur radio license and he liked the sound of tuning between stations.
